My Person

Braden the Young

“My Person” is the fifth and final single off Braden the Young’s forthcoming debut album SUPER, due out this summer. Originally recorded as an afterthought demo between session, “My Person” turned into one of Braden’s most dynamic singles. The track journeys through soft-spoken, bordering on lo-fi, verses before soaring to huge, driving choruses that just make you want to take off running. Lyrically, the song is a dedication to Braden’s wife of 6 years, whom he describes as his best friend and adventure partner. “My Person” was recorded in Portland, OR and is released under Middleborn Music.

LYRICS

“My Person”

I'd like to tell you tell you

Do what you wanna do

Talking at a table

A table for two

If you can't quite find the words

We'll find another way to tell

Show each other something

We've kept to ourselves

If you want, if you want me to

I can be all you want

Baby I'd let you do me wrong

And you might, and you might assume

I'd do anything for you

You'd be right, you'd be right on that one

Baby I would lie with you

Til the morning comes

Girl we got nothing to do

And nowhere to run

Baby I would lie with you

Til the world's undone

And I don't even notice 'cause I think I found my person

I'm thinking of a number

Between one and a grand

I'm thinking I might ask ya

To hold your hand

If you're feeling like I do

There's no need to feel it out

I'm falling for ya baby

There's no doubt about it

If you want, if you want me to

I can be all you want

Baby I'd let you do me wrong

And you might, and you might assume

I'd do anything for you

You'd be right, you'd be right on that one

Baby I could lie with you

Til the morning comes

Girl we got nothing to do

And nowhere to run

Baby I would lie with you

Til the world's undone

No need to run in circles 'cause I think I found my person

Think I found my

I think I found my person

Think I found my

I think I found my person

Think I found my

I think I found my person

Think I found my

I think I found my person
